Welcome to the Breaffy GAA Club website.

WE have teams in all grades from U8's to Senior at mens level and U12's to Senior at Ladies level.
We are based in Breaffy, an adjoining village of Castlebar, where we have our main playing field and a state of the art clubhouse which was completed in 2004.
We have a second pitch in Ballyheane, which along with Derrywash and Errew, are in the Breaffy catchment area, and that too is equipped with a newly developed clubhouse.
Our adult mens team compete in the Mayo Senior football championship and Division 1 of the County League.

Over the years we have had a very active involvement with various Mayo teams. Club full-forward Colum Lyons was on the Mayo panel which reached this year's All-Ireland final while Alan Durcan was a member of the Mayo National League panel.

Current senior player Marty McNicholas was a member of the Mayo Senior panel from 2001 to 2005 with injury keeping him away this year. He famously kicked the winning point in the 2001 National League final victory over Galway.

Breaffy midfielder Seamus O'Shea was a key man on the Mayo U21 team this year who captured the All-Ireland U21 title for the first time since 1983 and Seamus' inspirational performance in the second half in the final was one of the most significant reasons for this.

He, together with goalkeeper Kieran Barnicle, was on the Mayo Minor squad who reached the All-Ireland Minor final in 2005.

This year we captured the County Minor A football title for the first time in our 52 year history with a 2-11 to 0-7 win over Knockmore.
